Holiday Greetings

They say, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. It’s hard to argue with that notion as I enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations both here at New Glarus Home and around the community.

American novelist, Edna Ferber, said Christmas isn’t a season. It’s a feeling. This special community of New Glarus Home certainly confirms that thought. Our residents are enjoying special visits with family and friends, our staff is sharing their freshly made Christmas cookies, and the singing of Christmas carols down the halls can be heard.

On the evening of December 20, we are hosting a holiday open house for community partners and other guests to visit the Chalet at Glarner Village. There will be an opportunity to tour the newest addition to New Glarus Home, as well as, learn more about the Chalet Wellness Center and its offerings. The Wellness Center is offering monthly educational offerings that we invite all to attend. The Chalet offers an opportunity to receive care and services in our new state-of-the-art Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. More information can be found on our website and social media pages.

We hope you are enjoying the many posts to our Facebook and Twitter page. We have been enjoying the sharing of special holidays and various awareness days throughout the year.

In closing, I wanted to share how much the residents enjoy your visits and I encourage you to do so at any time of the year. Socialization of any person is a component to whole person wellness. Please consider stopping by more often as a way to help combat isolation for our residents.
