Happy Birthday, America! Our July Newsletter is here!
It's hard to believe it's already July!
June flew right by - for my family, and many others, we've been spending most nights at the ball field. My kids certainly don't mind, but it does require a bit of planning. Often we have more than one child playing in different towns on the same evenings. Sometimes we pack food to bring along and other times we give in to concession stand treats!
Living in a farming community, we are very thankful for the recent rainfall we've received. We're glad to see that crops are doing well, despite the earlier drought conditions.
All in all, it's been a great start to summer. The world is opening up again, and these coming weekends will be filled with cookouts, fireworks, ball tournaments and parades.
A couple highlights of our newsletter below:
175th (+1) Anniversary of New Glarus: The parade is July 31st, and will travel through part of NGH Campus *route map included in newsletter!
Volunteer Recruitment event at Bailey's Run! Come on out to Bailey's Run on July 21st from 3pm-5pm to see how you can volunteer some time at New Glarus Home.
Unintentionally omitted from the newsletter was a warm welcome to 2 new Glarner Haus Apartment residents. We are so happy that Georgia and Duane joined our campus in June!
